A Night to Remember: Celebrating Our Rotary Changeover
There was a true sense of celebration in the air as nearly every seat was filled for our much-anticipated Changeover Night—a sparkling evening that brought together our club members in a show of connection, continuity, and community spirit.
We were privileged to witness a seamless and heartfelt moment as Past President Haley officially handed over the reins to our incoming President, Dane. Haley’s leadership over the past two years has been nothing short of extraordinary. Through challenges and triumphs, she led with vision, grace, and an unwavering commitment to service above self. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and initiative will continue to shape our club’s path forward.
Looking ahead, President Dane introduced our guiding theme for the new Rotary year: Enrolment, Engagement, and Enrichment—a powerful trio that speaks to the soul of our club’s evolving vision.
Enrolment reminds us of the importance of sharing our Rotary story—to invite, inspire, and welcome new members whose values align with service and fellowship.
Engagement is about connection in action. It calls us to deepen participation, elevate voices, and co-create opportunities that bring lasting meaning to our projects and relationships.
Enrichment represents the heart of our why. As we grow, we don’t just do more—we strive to do better. Through personal growth, leadership development, and meaningful service, we enrich not just our club, but ourselves and our wider community.
To everyone who helped bring this evening to life—from the behind-the-scenes organisers to the speakers, decorators, and volunteers—thank you. Your hard work created an atmosphere of warmth and celebration that truly embodied the Rotary spirit.
Farewell to Amelie
This past year, we’ve had the pleasure of sharing our Rotary family with Amelie, our vibrant Youth Exchange student. As her time in Rotorua comes to a close, we reflect on the many moments of laughter, learning, and cultural exchange that she brought to our club and community. Though she has been unwell recently, we are comforted by the thought that she will be back home with her family, surrounded by their care as she recuperates. Amelie leaves behind a lasting impression and many fond memories—we wish her strength, rest, and every happiness for the future.

Lincoln is coming back to Rotorua in 2025 and have asked for billets on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 August.
There are 2 separate groups of around 50 student - pickup & drop off at Harvey Norman at 5pm and 8am next morning.
As we begin this Rotary year together, it’s important we’re all equipped with the tools to stay connected and informed. We’ll be using MyRotary and ClubRunner - two fantastic platforms. Please login to both platforms then bring your device to our next meeting, so we can explore key features together and ensure everyone feels confident navigating them.
Thank you to those who got behind the ‘Cans for a Cause’ national drive. We donated 200 cans to the Salvation Army who were very grateful for the donation.
